Images from Dave’s travels around the world, the ethics of travel photography and how to find adventure in your own locale (1.25 hr.)
Coffee break
2. The Light, Adventure
Dave describes his main considerations in shooting landscapes and nature, looking for the “wow” in a scene, and thinking creatively in apparently ordinary situations (1.25 hr.)
Lunch — on your own
There will be space for those who bring their own lunch, and directions for those who wish to head out. Please note that the AGB is nut-free. (1.5 hr.)
3. Finding Your Vision and Your Voice
Dave will talk about his experience with many genres of photography, how he figured out his own “voice”, and suggest how you might find yours (1.25 hr.)

4. Misadventures in Photography
With humour and honesty, Dave will share stories about embarrassing moments as a traveling assignment photographer. (1.25 hr).

Tickets: $75 in advance; $90 at the door.  Combine with at least one Sunday ticket and receive a discount of 10% on your entire purchase (not to be combined with purchases for a second person).

Parking: Free of charge in the AGB lot off Elgin Street, on a first-come-first-served basis, and in several nearby municipal lots.

What to bring:  If you wish to take notes on a tablet or laptop, we’ll ask you to sit near the back, out of consideration for those behind you.
