Tickets: If you have purchased a ticket in advance for any event, bring your email confirmation with you. If you cannot find your confirmation, let us know by replying to this email and we’ll send you a replacement. Tickets will also be available to purchase at the door: for the Seminar — $90, AV Festival — $15, Travel Photography (Sunday AM) — $40. The two mini-seminars later on Sunday are sold out and there are already waiting lists.

Refunds: Please note our refund policy as stated on the confirmation of your online purchase: Full refunds will be given if for any reason the seminar does not take place. Refunds will be given if requested 48 hours or more prior to the seminar date (Thursday morning), subject to a $5.00 handling charge. No refunds will be given for failure to attend for any reason.

The Art Gallery of Burlington (formerly the Burlington Art Centre) is at 1333 Lakeshore Road West, not far off the QEW. Map. Saturday’s Seminar will be in the Lee Chin Family Gallery, the same as in past years.

Hours, Saturday: The Seminar will start sharp at 9:00 and run until 4:30, with breaks for coffee mid-morning and mid-afternoon. Doors to the Seminar hall will open at 8:45; doors to the AGB will open about 8:15 so you can wait inside. (But really — the screen is huge and there are no bad seats!) The AV Festival runs from 7-9 pm.

Hours & rooms, Sunday:

The Sunday mini-seminars are each 2 hours long, with half-hour breaks in between. Coffee will be available 15 minutes before the session starts.

  • Travel Photography —  9:00 – 11:00      Lee Chin Family Gallery (same as Saturday)
  • Landscape Photography — noon -2:00.   Photography Studio

Parking: The AGB has a large parking lot where you can park all day for $12 and help out the kids’ art education programs at the same time. Parking tickets are available at the desk just inside the entrance from the parking lot; a ticket gives you in/out privileges during the day (but no guarantee of a spot after lunch, if you leave.) There is no parking charge for the evening. There are also municipal parking lots in the area.

Lunch: On Saturday, we will break for lunch from noon –1:30. New this year: a gourmet food truck will be stationed in the AGB parking lot. This is not a chip wagon; it’s definitely worth checking out,  and we expect it to be in place on Sunday as well. And downtown Burlington with many food outlets is a 10-minute walk away. On both days, if you wish to bring your own lunch, there are locations within the AGB where you can eat it. There is no longer a cafe onsite.

Win a framed print: As usual, we will sell tickets for a draw to take place at the end of Saturday, with all proceeds going to Burlington’s Camelot Centre for adults with intellectual disabilities. The prize is the image below, signed and professionally framed. Tickets for the draw are $10 for one or $20 for three.

Print exhibition: the annual open exhibition of photographic prints by Latow members will be found in the Fireside lounge. Stop by during morning coffee or the lunch break.

What to bring: On both Saturday and Sunday, you do not need to bring anything except maybe a notepad. David has lots of materials online, so even note-taking is not necessary. If you do bring a device such as a tablet or laptop, we will ask that you sit near the back so as not to disturb those behind you in the dark.
